Electroplating or electroplating of 'Aluminium Filled Epoxy'




Q. HI,
My name is Rajesh I'm a post graduate student who is working on academic research project.
please let me know that "ALUMINUM FILLED WITH EPOXY" can be plated with nickel or copper or any other alloys so that it should meet Matte finish

if anyone knows regarding above content please help me out

A. Hi Rajesh. Aluminum can be zincated, then alkaline electroless nickel plated, and it can then be plated with nickel or copper or whatever.

Depending on how much aluminum is in the epoxy, how exposed it is, etc., the zincating process may or may not work. Good luck.
