Matte finish plating / anodizing steel
Q. Hi,
Please see the picture attached. The frames in this machine are made of mild steel but with the finishing, it gives an anodized aluminum look. Is it anodizing of steel? or a matte chrome finish?
How can one get a look like this?

A. Hi Amit.
I can't figure out what kind of machine this is ... maybe some sort of paper dryer / paper handler? Knowing that might help us.
To my knowledge there is no anodizing process for steel ... certainly no bare steel can have a beautiful finish like this. The picture has limited resolution, but to me it looks like matte tin plating or dull nickel plating on a bead blasted surface.

Q. It is a printing machine. The base (side) frame is usually made of mild steel plates around 20 mm thick.
