Chrome finishing on bar stools
Q. We have been shopping for swivel bar stools. There are a variety of prices. All seem to have a "chrome" look to them but I would like something that is not going to readily scratch and would like to know how I can tell a higher quality finish.
I have read your page on Chrome information.
Thanks very much

A. Hi Susan.
Chrome plated bar stools are not going to scratch (well, anything "can" scratch, but something tough enough for a truck bumper is tough enough for a bar stool). If possible, try to find a respected brand, as that is your only assurance of quality (by which I mean long term rust resistance).
