Need to reduce galvanizing thickness to 85 microns

March 16, 2012

Q. Good day,
Thanks for being a solution provider. I really do need help on how to reduce zinc consumption in our galvanizing process from 150 microns or more to minimum of 85 microns as required for items with thickness greater than 6 mm.
Can you please assist?

Sir:

If you could describe in some detail what you are doing now it would help.

For example: Zinc bath chemistry? what is aluminum and other metals present? Flux solution chemistry? Other descriptions of your operating plant including dimensions of zinc kettle.

Regards,
