Chinese Trading Plates possibly made of silver

I am not sure what these are? The person I purchased from said he thought they were used circa 1600-1700 in China for trading purposes. They are small and heavy and seem to have been cleaned. I am not sure if they are silver and not sure what they are. Can you help?
