Rhodium plating vs finishing
I am researching rhodium plating in the jewelry industry and have run across a reference to rhodium "finishing". What is the difference between rhodium plating and rhodium finishing? Does it have to do with the thickness of the plating?
Also, is there any finishing process that can produce a ring that looks like yellow gold but is labeled as rhodium plated?

Rhodium is in the platinum group, so it will be a bright silver metallic color. To get a gold color, it would have to be highly alloyed with something like copper, or have a titanium nitride coating or have a tinted lacquer coat.

Rhodium plating, rhodium plate, rhodium finish, rhodium plate finish is all the same thing.

Maybe I differ ... Rhodium plating can be termed as real Rh plating.
Rhodium finishing may term as looking like Rh -- which now-a days is a white bronze plating. It can be easily 'recognized' as Rhodium by whatever way we mean!
