Hexavalent Chromium in Trivalent Passivating Baths?
My name is Tom Rochester and I have written articles on trivalent passivates. Has anyone ever heard of hexavalent chromium being detected in trivalent passivating baths? (I never have.) I am not referring to hexavalent chromium on the parts or the films produced, but actually in the baths themselves. If anyone has heard of this happening, I would appreciate hearing some of the details. Thanks!
