Safety of Bronze kitchenware
How safe it is to use bronze kitchenware? Water stored in bronze glass, over a period of more than two hours, tastes different. Is tin present in bronze harmful or safe for foodstuff? A ayurvedic medical practitioner in India, claimed that it is the only source of tin to human body. Is it true?

Hi, Sanjay.
Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin, although there may also be other trace materials. Tin is a food-safe material, but copper is not. I am not a dietitian and would rather not comment on sources of tin in your diet, but repairing copper cookware through periodic "tinning" has been practiced for a hundred years or more. Please search the site for "tinning copper pots". Good luck.
