Blistering when Powdercoating items that are Acid Copper plated
Hi, my name is Anthony Towsen from Cape town, South Africa.
My Problem is that once I have plated an Alo item the plating looks great and I don't have any Blistering, but I Powder Coat my item and once it goes into the oven it starts to Blister. Is this normal or is there a waiting period after the plating was done before it can go into the oven? The oven temperature is 180 °C -- is this too high? Please help, I don't know how to fix this problem.

Hi, Anthony.
Sorry, but I think there is a typo in your question. What is an "Alo item"?
Baking of plated parts is a common quality control measure to see if the plating has good adherence. It seems like it doesn't.
