Stains inside stainless steel dishwasher

My dishwasher interior is stainless steel. It has gotten a brown discoloration to it. I think it's caused by heat but am not sure. Do you have any suggestions for removing it?

I don't think there's any way your dishwasher can get hot enough to discolor stainless. Try different brands of detergent.

Could be you've left some water softening salt in it and this has started to corrode the stainless steel and it is rusting
