Ionic cleaner left a black stain on sterling jewelry
August 31, 2011
We have been using a Speed Brite to clean sterling jewelry, and one ring that had been worn a lot developed a black stain where the clip was placed. After a 2nd clean, the stain could be mostly wiped off, but now the surface underneath has an etched appearance. Comments, anyone?
Thanks,

Talk to the OEM of speed brite as they are the only ones that know what is in the stuff. The rest of us could only guess.
