Choosing cadmium plating vs. hot dipped galvanized?

WHICH MATERIAL RESISTANCE IS BETTER, cadmium plated carbon steel of hot dipped galvanized carbon steel?

Hi, Neda.

Cadmium is a bioaccumulative poison and must not be used except where its unique combination of properties makes it indispensable. It is never used anymore for a single property like corrosion resistance. For marine application use hot dip galvanized steel. Good luck.
