Resistance of Nickel Electroless to acid and temperature

I would like to know if this nickel electroless coated on Mild steel can withstand acidic nature of a solution (say pH 4 to 5) at high temperature of the order of 572° F and at high pressure of 1020 psi...

At that temperature I doubt it will be of any help. Do you know if other substrates or coatings have worked well so far?

I am hoping chromium plating would do as chromium can only withstand higher concentration of acid attack... Still I have no clue to my problem and my client is insisting on plating.

IMO chrome offers less protection since it is always micro cracked when thick (+0.003"). Without knowing more about your real situation (part size, geometry, environment chemistry and involved stress it is difficult to suggest but maybe you could learn more about electrolytic sulphamate nickel. It is extremely corrosion resistant, can be applied very thick (1/16" not unusual) and shares many mechanical characteristics with mild steel (Tensile strength, ductility, thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, melting point, etc.).
Good luck,
