Best process for aluminum finishing
August 22, 2011
Hi Everyone,
Here's an interesting question for the forum--
What plating process(es) would you suggest to achieve the following on an aluminum part (wrought or cast)
-Electrically Conductive finish
-RoHS compliant
-Good powder coat adhesion
-Withstand 500 or 1000 hr salt fog test
-Good performance within an acidic atmosphere (MIL-STD-810 procedure 518.1)
Any feedback would be appreciated and Thank you!
