Alternative Solution for HCl pickling
We are in Wire drawing process of m.s. wire which will be pickled in HCl and de-scaled. Since HCl is highly pollutive please advice alternative pickling process which is non pollutive.

Hi, Murthy.
I don't agree with your premise. Although HCl tends to fume, and the vapors need to be captured, I don't think HCl pollutes if it is handled properly. You could use hot H2SO4, which may fume a bit less.
