Is HVOF a quality, economy and mass productionable alternative to Hard Chrome Plating?

I am looking for an alternative to Hard chrome plating
I feel technically HVOF technology can replace but I do have lots of doubts like:
Can HVOF be economical compared to HCP?
Can HVOF be applied for smaller cylindrical parts (typicaly telescopic front fork tubes)?

seek suggestions in this regard,

It might be.
A proper alloy that is expertly applied is a very great product. The coverage can be equal or less, depending on the geometry of the part.
It will very probably take more grinding and is as difficult as chrome to grind.

In short, it is going to depend on the part and the people.

In our experience, capital investment would perhaps be lower but operational costs will be much more per unit of area. Also, output would be lower. HVOF works on individual parts whereas a chrome tank may accommodate dozens at the same time. Technically, though HVOF has the highest adhesion of all thermospraying processes, it still does not match a properly applied chrome plate. It also requires a more aggressive surface pre-etch to attain its maximum adhesion. This means a thicker coat and a deeper grind. Good luck,
