Chrome Plating of galvanized steel pipe
I have an idea to potentially save some money. I am thinking of chrome plating a steel pipe that has already been hot dip galvanized (zinc) through an inline flo-coat proces. Does anyone know if this is possible?

it is possible applying a copper coat over zinc and plugging the holes to avoid the contact of the solution with the inside of the pipe for a decorative chrome, for hard chrome it is possible too but I'm not sure if it's possible to do it directly over zinc.
is not an easy task, but if you just want to try, that is the way. beware of the weight of the part, some times they float.
usually the zinc is removed and the hot dip is lost, that way is more easy and a trouble-less method.
