Adhesion on polypropylene
I am trying to get a good adhesion on polypropylene. I paint this plastic
but cannot get a 5B adhesion rating

Pass a naked flame over the surface...cool, then paint.

You can try using what is generally known as 'adhesion promoter' for refinishing shops. these are also used by OEMs for painting on bumpers which are made of plastic which contain a large amount of PP given its flexible properties.
The method of passing a flame works too but not practical on an industrial scale, and no doubt dangerous.
