Electro Zinc plating Vs E-coating

We electro Zinc plate Nuts and bolts and I am wondering if E-coating is a good alternative. Hot dip Galvanizing has become very popular with fasteners and could E-coating be an alternative. Cost is always a major concern with commodities

Yes, E-coat is available for fasteners. PPG has a product marketed under the brand Electropolyseal which is suitable for bulk coating process. Please keep in mind that E-coat has to be cured in an oven after coating. That is also beneficial insofar as Hydrogen embrittlement is concerned. Hope that helps.
