PEELING OFF OF POWDER COATING FROM ALUMINIUM SECTION

In Aluminium cleaning of sliding windows, cleaning is done properly - anodised film is removed & then chromatising is also done properly. But in the creepage /joint parts, powder coating peels off.Powder coating temp. is also proper. Please help me by listing possible reasons & solutions to it.

Vinay:

Sounds like classic delamination. We had a small issue similar to yours on both extruded and cast aluminum and found that our water supply to our wash tanks was 280ppm total dissolved solids. Our answer was a Reverse Osmosis water system that reduced our TDS to 30ppm or less...no more delamination. Regards,

Vinay:

The first thing I thought of is how thick is the powder in the corners? Most times the solutions to problems are easy ones but overlooked. If you have already checked this maybe run some tests on parts with 90 degree bends or more in them. Powder coat the inside of these parts at various thicknesses, to try to repeat the failure. I hope this helps.
