Will gasoline affect nickel electroless-plated plastic?
I am working on a venturi-effect mixing nozzle project and the inner surfaces need to be electrically conductive to prevent static electricity buildup and potential sparking.

Hi, Al.
My understanding is that the corrosion rate should be about .02 mils per year, about the same as with distilled or demineralized water. Erosion may be a bigger issue in your case. The plastic must be resistant to gasoline in case of porosity. Good luck.

Fuel injectors are often EN plated for corrosion resistance and clog proof surfaces. Fuel systems using those injectors are scheduled for long tune-up intervals. As Ted says, substrate resistance would be a factor in case the plating presents porosity.
