Painting nickel coated samples to reduce rust formation
WE HAVE WIRE ROPE SAMPLES FOR OUR SALES PROMOTION. THE ROPE SAMPLES ARE NICKEL COATED. THE PROBLEM WITH THOSE SAMPLES IS THAT RUST FORMATION IS OBSERVED AFTER 7-8 MONTHS. WE WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS SOME SERVICE PAINTS WHICH CAN BE APPLIED TO SAMPLES THAT CAN PREVENT RUSTING.

Hi, Anuranjan. I'd be very careful applying anything to the samples that you are not applying to the actual product, for fear that it be interpreted as deliberately misleading. But you could periodically apply a 1-part clear coat if you must.
Perhaps the nickel plating could be improved to last longer than 7-8 months? The cable could also be zinc plated or galvanized if less brightness is acceptable.
