Standard for rhodium plating thickness (double dipped)

Hi - We are using a plating company to plate Rhodium onto our silver jewelry at a customers request. After agreeing on a price the customer now wants a double dipped Rhodium plating put on the jewelry but the factory are telling us it is not necessary and that they use the industry standard (but can't give any measurements).
So what I would like to know is the differences in a "standard" rhodium plating for silver jewelry and a "double dipped" plating - if indeed there is such a thing - and what is the accepted standard for silver jewelry.
br> Thank you.
