Hard Chrome Plating engraved rollers for Hot glass casting

We have engraved surface SS rollers for solar glass casing machine and roller surface gets frequent damages due to contact from tools & oxidation, so we are planning for hard chrome plating on rollers surface. Please suggest thickness of plating and other technical effects, durability and temp. effect on plating. approx. 500° cent. temperature of roller surface can be considered.

That temperature will soften the chrome to some degree (20 Rc points perhaps more) but even so, the plated rollers will outlast those made of bare steel. Thickness varies depending on use but 25 microns (0.001") per side is a good start.
