Increasing of Trivalent in hard chrome
Could the use of Benzine in a hard chrome plating shop increase the trivalent content of a bath?

A touch of plain white sugar is a much safer way to do the same thing. Just go slow as it does not take much.

Yes it would, I know of a jobbing plating shop that used to add the occasional dead rat for the same purpose!
A bag of sugar is another ad-hoc addition that also does the job.
