Electroplating copper to glass please HELP!
I'm making a giant glass sculpture made of many parts that have been epoxied together. I then painted over that with the electroplating paint and put in my solution. Everything was going fine and I was getting a nice layer built up on the piece, but just recently when I put in the piece in for some reason the amperage/current will start where I set it then gradually come down to .25 . I'm getting pretty frustrated and don't really understand for the sudden inconsistency. Any advice would help on the matter! Also any tricks to getting a really shiny finish that doesn't involve adding just copper brightener b/c it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Thanks again

Most likely the problem is Copper oxide forming on the anode
If the copper anode is getting dark brown reduce the current with a resistor. Also agitation is a must.
