Hot water line leak in slab of home

the home is about 30 years old, water pipes are in the slab. we recently had one leak in the hot water line, plumber located it, and fixed it. The next day on the surface of the patched slab, where one of the holes was broken out to find the leak, we had surface water. plumber said there is a second leak. it was identified as being on the hot water side as well. plumber said the original leak appeared to be from electrolysis of the pipe.
plumber indicated he could run leak detection again, locate leak and fix it but recommended we consider taking the pipes out of the slab and running them through the walls of the house to eliminate what he said would be a continuing problem.

we do not have an attic. we do have a/c ducts which in most cases could be followed to run piping throughout the house including capturing the outside facets.

does this sound on the up and up and a viable approach?
