Aluminum limit in melted zinc, and its effect on zinc kettle corrosion rate
Dear Sir,
I'm working in a steel company as a R&D expert . recently we have had a decrease in our hot dip galvanizing kettle (Zinc box) life. now my questions:
1.Generally has "Al% in melted zinc" effect on kettle corrosion rate?
2.How much is the acceptable range for Al presented in melted zinc so that having the minimum kettle corrosion?
3. We have had an increase in Al% from about 0.1% to 0.2% ( because having a more flexible zinc coating on steel sheet) , could this analysis change cause an increase in kettle corrosion? how?
Thanks a lot for your cooperation.

Sir,
I have a friend associated with a "flow-coat" continuous pipe line (outside pipe coating only). He told me recently that as the aluminum content of the zinc is increased the kettle is corroded more by the zinc.
