Ammonium chloride purpose in zinc plating
Hi,
I know this may be a basic question, but I really could not find "In ammonium chloride zinc electroplating bath, what does ammonium chloride do"?

Hi Fatma,
Ammonium chloride used to serve as conducting salt as well as pH buffer. For pH buffer, it works as below:
NH4(+) + OH(-) <=> NH3 + H2O
NH3 + H(+) <=> NH4(+)
