Masking adhesive?
Hi,
I need to precisely mask bearing bores in a bicycle hub shell. I've had some polypropylene rings made that do a pretty good job, but they seem to shrink and allow some seepage into the bearing bore area. I can't use a solid plug because the inside of the shell needs to be anodized (I only want the bearing surfaces to be free of anodizing). Is there a better material than polypropylene? Is it possible to?glue the rings in place. Is there an adhesive that I can use that won't react with the anodizing process? Would regular silicone adhesive work?
Thanks in advance for considering my question.

A couple of options:
1] machine the bores after anodize
2] modify an off-the-shelf silicone plug to fit the c'bore and allow the thru bore to anodize- something like an expanding freeze-plug from yesteryear. There are a couple of shops in your neck of the woods who can do this.
