Blister on nickel plated copper

I am Minda Ocampo, I am an electroplater and I need help how to fix blisters on nickel plated copper (thermkon materials). After gold plating these materials,it will be tested for blisters by heat treatment at 380 degrees. That's when the blisters sometimes appear. Please can anyone suggest the best way to rework this plated metals. Thanks for the advise....

Too much cleaning, not enough cleaning, poor activation, poor rinsing and no strike are the normal causes.
