Chrome plated rod surface defects
Dear All,
I am finding difficulty in understanding the chrome rod surface defect. I checked the chrome thickness it's 50 microns. The surface is having many pin holes with rusty marks.
I don't understand what could be the root cause for this.
Could somebody help me to understand the defect caused on the piston rod surface?

You may have a lot of suspended solids in the chrome tank, especially if you use agitation.

Hi,
You can use an porous pot and dummy the solution so that if it have any impurity can be removed.
