Glue for crack repair of Painted vintage mirror
I have a mirror with a scenic picture painted on it. It's from the 40's or 50's and is 12 inches round, mounted by side clips to wood.
The mirror has been broken into 5 pieces. What could I use to glue it together on the wood it is on?

Nothing will be as good as the original. I would check with a auto window repair shop. Some of them use a material to fill stars and pits that is polished afterwards to not be visible. A lot cheaper than a window.
On the cheap, you could try a super glue and use acetone

damp wipes to remove the surface excess. If it is truly painted, the acetone will attack it. It is probably a silvered mirror with a lacquer protection coat over that and the acetone will attack that.
