Eductors and Acid Copper Pitting

Have eductors lessened the amount of pitting in acid copper plating solutions?

Hi, Ron.

It sounds like you are asking us to call an eductor salesperson a liar :-)

Agitation is very valuable in acid copper plating, and eductors can be a good method to impart that agitation. Please try to post your actual situation. Thanks!

Eductors are an excellent addition to many plating tanks, but they are not completely idiot proof in their employment.

Eductors are good but certainly not a must for acidic copper.

Pitting is rarely a problem in acidic copper. Good housekeeping keeps the pitting away.

Mostly pitting in acidic copper is a result of poor filtering.

If you are facing pitting problem, filter 1 liter in lab with a good filter paper (not more than 1 micron) and take a good look at the paper. If there are particles on it, its a proof that the filtration needs improvement
