Need NiCr plated onto substrate

November 23, 2010

Does anyone have the capability of plating NiCr onto a 3" square substrate with a base metal layer sputtered onto it? I am looking for a 60 - 100 micron thick coating.

Hi, Ken. If you mean nickel plating followed by chrome plating, that doesn't sound especially difficult and you should get some offers. If you mean a nickel-chrome alloy, those metals are too electrochemically dissimilar to plate simultaneously so, no, nobody has that capability.
