Plating old Monopoly game pieces
I have my bro's 1960 monopoly game pieces; the shoe, ship, dog, etc, and want to know if I should plate them in nickel or chrome to use on a sterling silver keychain. Please advise. Thank you, Diana

Hi, Diana.
It's mostly just a matter of taste. Nickel is very slightly yellowish, chrome is very slightly bluish, silver is whitish. Rhodium is dazzling bright, even shinier than chrome.
However, this would be a very small lot for a plating shop; they are usually set up to do larger and longer runs. So you might want to go to a jeweler instead, and I doubt that you'll find a jeweler who offers chrome plating. My choice would be silver plating; but if you find the tarnished look unattractive, then rhodium plating for the full dazzle.
