How to bond ACM rubber compound to Zinc Nickel plated mild steel substrate
Dear all,
I want to bond ACM rubber compound of about 70-80 shore A hardness to a Mild steel formed part having Zn-Ni
coating and Cr3+ passivation. I am unable to get a consistent bonding.
Anybody has done this before?

I know that there are some paint/primers that are not compatible with the Cr passivation. Check this out with the rubber MFG. You may have to add a primer step. I know that primer is a necessary evil for doing plastisol coatings.
