Armor Processing - Grit Blasting requirements prior to E-Coat
Curious as to recommended profile and shot-grit mixture to be used on rolled homogeneous armor 40 HRC that would be a favorable surface pretreatment for cathodic epoxy e-coat.

The basic answer depends on other factors. The best adhesion for any coating is a rough surface; therefore a large abrasive grit is desirable. However, the primer and coating may not fill up all the roughness profile and leave your part with a somewhat orange peel appearance. Therefore you need to take into account the final product appearance and/or function.
