Making wood table look like chrome

Hello,

I am a interior designer currently working on a restaurant project. I have designed a custom solid wood pedestal table that I would like to have finished to look like a highly polished chrome/steel (I only want the pedestal finished, the top will be glass). Can you recommend an appropriate process (i.e. powder coating, metal plating) that will stand up in a commercial environment and give me the look that I am trying to achieve?

Thanks in advance.

Did we get an answer to this Question?
I have 4 table legs and skirt made of white oak that I want to finish in a polished chrome.
Any experienced answer would be appreciated.
Note this is for a project in Mexico where they have a very hot and humid climate.
Thanks in advance
