How to translate "coupage" from French to English for silver plating bath maintenance
Dear, Sirs
How to translate from French to English the word "coupage" from the following text;
"Coupage de bain pour diminution de la teneur en carbonate de potassium (le bain non utilise est envoye a un affineur pour recuperation de l'argent metal"
I understand that is an operation for decreasing the content of potassium carbonate and the bath is sent to a refinery to recuperate the metallic silver.

My four years of high school French has mostly faded, but online translators such as Babelfish tend to produce results that are at least partially understandable:
"Cutting of bath for reduction in the content potassium carbonate (the bath not uses is sent has a refiner for recovery of l' silver"
