Plating of Heat Resistant Ni-Alloy Compnent

Dear Sir,

At our aerospace division we have taken up development of a high temperature pneumatic valve (operating temp 600 deg. C) made up of BS HR-10 (Chrome-Cobalt Heat resistant Ni-Alloy) Valve Body. We tried Electroless Ni-Plating of Valve Body for a wear resistant inner surface(bore). We found small pitting in the bore. Please let me know if Electroless Ni-Plating is recommended for Ni-Alloy material. Does it require any pre-treatment to avoid pitting.

Regards
