How to achieve US26d Finish
Q. Can someone tell me how a US 26D satin chrome finish is achieved. Is it a bright nickel plate that is satin finished by hand with greaseless compound then chrome plated? Or is it a watts bath nickel with no brighteners then chrome plated. Thanks for the help

A. US26D is classified as a dull chrome finish. The word Satin can be a little confusing. In polishing it means straight line whereas in plating it is just a matte finish. Just ask your customer if they want lines or not. Lines means polishing and no lines means acid to bring down the grain.
