Strawberry Milkshake on my New Car's Paint

Hello. I am seeking advice on a problem I have. It seems someone decided to throw a strawberry shake at some cars parked at the restaurant where I work. I didn't realize it but the top of my new Ford Edge was hit with some of the ice cream. It was almost a week until my much taller friend noticed it. I just washed it thoroughly, but there still seems to be a residue that I can't remove. Any ideas on ways to get the hazy leftovers off? Thanks a lot.

Your local auto shop will stock 'Rubbing down compound', or some variation of that name which should do the job. At a pinch Brasso this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] or similar metal polish should do. Then wash and wax.

I would avoid drinking that strawberry milkshake!

Try a compound such as T-Cut or some other automotive paint restorer. Be careful with it as some modern paints are difficult to blend in again. Once you have removed your stain, give you car a good wax and polish.
