How to flux fasteners for hot dip galvanizing




Dear sir

I have a hot dip plant doing galvanizing for fasteners; please tell me the fluxing method and if pre-heating is required or not bec. if there is any water in thread portion, zinc will spill from bath, please suggest me sir

Tell us the rest of your situation. Its hard to answer with so little info given.
Do you flux now? What with? How? What is the real problem?

Sir:
The best solutions for spin galvanizing was done in a USA plant. They used high ACN (e.g. 1.8), high flux solution temperature (e.g. 80 C), and low baumé (e.g. 10 deg. baumé), and they used special Haynes 556 alloy for the baskets. If you do not understand some of these terms then look them up on this website under search or search google.

sir,

You can use Flux P 3 then you have to preheat the fasteners before dipping in the molten zinc.
