Locking in the brightened brass/copper shine

Belonging to a progressive organisation engaged in production of various types of parts & equipment made from brass and copper, I mostly confront with the situation where our products return to dim and dark position (as of pre- brightening stage) some times quite quickly whereas at occasions it takes a few days for the polish to diminish.

A. You need to utilize a tarnish preventive compound among other possible steps i.e. packaging, storage, etc.

A. Sounds very much like poor rinsing or failure to dry quickly and adequately. I am guessing that these products are being treated in bulk. Parts need good movement in rinses to ensure that they acid-free. Suggest that you improve rinsing and then to give them a degree of additional tarnish resistance, wash in benzotriazole this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] or soap solution followed by more rinsing. The final rinse should preferably be hot to aid drying and improve water repellency. Note these treatments are not a substitute for good rinsing in the first place.
Can supply more detail if required.
