pH resistance of chrome plated rollers

IS THERE ANY TABLE OR GRAPH RESISTANCE TO CONSULT THE PH IN WATER OR WATER BORN ADHESIVE RESISTANCE FOR CHROME PLATED ROLLERS USED AT PAPER LAMINATING INDUSTRY USED UNDER IMMERSION IN ADHESIVE AT APPROX 130° C AND THEN WASHED WITH RECYCLED WATER.

First of two simultaneous responses --

There is no way to answer that as there are too many unknown variables. Also rollers that were plated by the same shop at different times may have a different life cycle.

Second of two simultaneous responses --

The corrosion resistance of chrome itself to several chemicals can be found in tables (The proper volume of the ASM Handbook Series may be a good start). In this context it is well known that chrome is very resistant to oxidizing environments and most acids. Exceptions are hydrochloric acid, presence of chlorides and alkalis. But I believe your situation involves the overall resistance of chrome as a coating over a specific substrate and this is far more complex. The function involves thickness, porosity or crack pattern, galvanic couple, etc. In any case, there are many combinations and alternatives worth exploring.
