Process of stripping metal plated plastics

June 21, 2010

I am a young entrepreneur and can source substantial volumes of scrap Plastic (ABS) quoted with Copper, Nickel and Chromium. I need help on know how about separating plastic from the three metals by a process which is
1. Environmental friendly
2. Economically viable
3. And that all the metals are recovered in purest form possible separately.

Kindly help me with knowing the process and type of machinery required for the same.

Depending on your definitions, It fails on item 1 and 2 .
Item 3 is possible, but not practical.
If it were practical, the big companies would have done it years ago.

I went through this patent on the internet, by which I believe this might be possible. Kindly spare some time to go through it and give your feedback on it.

Remember if it is patented only the holder can do it.
