Organic Contamination in Nickel Sulfamate Plating Bath
What is the maximum Total Organic Content in a nickel sulfamate plating bath before the solution should be treated to remove the organics?

That is totally dependent on what the organic(s) is/are.
Carbon treatment is cheap insurance, so periodically do it rather than wait for a test of unknowns (which all require standards)or problems to arise, just do it.

Hi Gary,
Can you say what you mean by total Organic content and how you would determine this ? Do you have Organic additives in your Nickel Bath ? If you do this would contribute to your total Organic content.
Thanks,

Hi,
I should run the nickel solution with carbon every week if we talk about organic contamination or at least every weekend together with pleated steel sheet.
