Chromium plating of carbon fibre
Hey there,
Electroplating chromium has been widely used so far in the plating industry. I am interested in doing a chromium plating on carbon fibres. Hence when we talk about cathode surface area, how do we define it with respect to the carbon fibres?

Chrome is very inflexible while carbon fiber can be quite flexible. You have a very high probability of the chrome cracking.Carbon fiber plating requires some unusual steps for plating as it does not clean or activate well. It will take a bit of research followed by a good bit of trial and error effort, unless you are very lucky.
