Industrial electrolytic rust removal process
hello I would like to know more about industrial de-rusting process using electrolysis. I tried to look that up on the internet
(metal cleaning company website) but it does not explain the process. As part of my assignment, I have to compare my own experiment with industrial ones.
in my experiment, I de-rust my iron nail using sodium carbonate

and HCl.
ps: the nail in HCl one seems to be eaten?

Tsung,
Try looking at MIL-S-5002 (find it at assist quicksearch) an DEF STAN
03-2 (find it at UK Defense). These are the two main Aerospace documents, one from the USA, one from the UK. Gets you on the right track.
